Below are some questions you might have.  Please don't hesitate to email or call us if you have any other questions you don't see on this F.A.Q. list.

The Sailing Experience
Is there a Captain on board?

Yes, there is a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed Captain and crew member aboard at all times.

Where do we sail?

We have designed a specific route that takes advantage of the best views of downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay, following  the best prevailing sailing conditions. However, we will alter the route if weather conditions dictate, or if you have a specific destination you'd like to see.

What hours do we sail?
The cruise generally departs at 5:30PM, and returns by 10:30PM. These times may be adjusted if you wish.

Do you have a bathroom on board?

Yes, the vessel has a bathroom, otherwise known as a 'Marine Head' in boat-speak.

Can we bring food and drinks?

Yes, but there is no need to. There will be los of food served, including a wide selection of beverages, wine & beer.

Is it OK to bring alcohol?

Wine & beer will be served during the sail. We ask that you reserve your alcoholic consumption to only the beverages that are provided. Please contact us in advance should you wish to bring your own beverages.

What should I wear?

Whatever you find to be comfortable is fine, there are no restrictions. We recommend warm clothes as it can be cool during the evening hours. And wear soft soled shoes too.

What should we bring with us, and what should we avoid bringing?

Make sure you bring a camera! You may also want to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and even a hat if it is a particularly sunny day. No need to bring eating utensils or anything of the sort, as there is ample on board.

What if there is light wind or no wind at all?

If the wind is light, we may motor sail. We cruise regardless of light-wind conditions.

What about Sea-sickness?
We find it uncommon except in people who are prone to motion sickness. If you are concerned about it, you may want to take one of the motion sickness medications well before sailing. If you are prone to serious motion or sea sickness, you may not want to book a sail.
